Hanna Electric Motor Company, through capacity optimization, successfully sold its older-generation winding machines, originally based on Hanna's proprietary technology, to the Indian market after careful modification. This not only brought economic benefits to both companies but also opened a new chapter in cooperation between Hanna Electric Motor and Indian enterprises.

Hanna Electric Motor's #9 winding machine went into production in November 2014 and could produce 36-slot stator windings. With the rapid iteration of research and development technology, Hanna's 72-slot series products now make up a much larger proportion of production. As a result, the #9 winding machine, which used to operate at full capacity over three shifts, has been reduced to two shifts, leaving one shift underutilized. This not only occupies valuable space but also results in potential economic losses. Considering the overall interests of the company, Hanna Electric Motor's management team decided to sell the #9 winding machine and have other winding machines take over its production tasks, thereby improving equipment and personnel utilization and revitalizing company assets.

After persistent communication with the Indian manufacturer to understand their technical requirements, the equipment team used their advanced technical skills to modify the No. 9 winding machine using the existing tooling, perfectly meeting the needs of the Indian manufacturer. The modification team first conducted a comprehensive evaluation and inspection of the idle equipment, identifying its core functions and potential value. Then, based on the actual needs of the Indian market and industry standards, the equipment was customized and upgraded.
From automation upgrades and energy efficiency improvements to optimization and adjustment of the production process, every step was carried out with precision and efficiency to ensure that the modified equipment could seamlessly integrate into the Indian manufacturer’s production line, achieving both performance and cost optimization. The Indian manufacturer was very satisfied with the modification results, successfully completed the equipment acceptance, and the No. 9 winding machine was shipped to India in June 2024.
